Showdown in the galaxy – when Black Holes eat clouds
At the centre of the Milky Way there is a Black Hole, invisible, yet circled by thirty stars. Scientists have charted them and discovered a gas cloud moving slowly towards the centre. They wonder what exactly will happen when the cloud is hurled past the Black Hole. Will it forever be sucked up by this huge cosmic vacuum cleaner?
